[ CUSTOM FABRICATION Commander Chassis is all about Charlie Thornton, who has been building off road vehicles from the ground up since the 70’s, and Charlie is all about fabrication. From a Texas motorhead racing motorcycles and buggies in the 60’s Charlie has become a master mechanic, machinist, and welder. He now designs and builds some pretty sophisticated custom motor sports chassis and off road machines including rock crawlers, unlimited class buggies,1600’s, prerunners, a super farm pulling tractor, off road buggy, custom roll cages, cages for pulling tractors, he even built an airplane a few years back. Commander Chassis is still building Off Road Vehicles in the new Idaho shop. So, if you don’t have the time to build one yourself or just want a safe, sophisticated chassis to build up, give him a call. We either manufacture it or we have found the best of what is available. We try to deal exclusively with onshore, American manufacturers.
